The Elevator Industry Has Gradually Become The Pillar Of China's Manufacturing Industry.
After years of development, China's elevator industry has become an indispensable important construction equipment for the development of modern society. It plays an irreplaceable role in improving the quality of life of people, improving the quality of life, and realizing the national policy of “energy saving and land saving” in China's construction industry. At the same time, the elevator is closely related to the safety and quality of life of the masses of the people. It has been listed as a special equipment by the state for many years. In recent years, driven by the strong development of real estate, rail transit construction, airport reconstruction and expansion, China's elevator industry has developed rapidly and has gradually become a bright pearl in China's equipment manufacturing industry.
The largest elevator production and sales country
At present, China has become the world's largest elevator producer and consumer. According to statistics, in 2013, the annual demand for elevators in China has exceeded 450,000 units, accounting for 60% of the global elevator market demand. As of 2014, the elevator production reached 708,000 units, and the number of elevators has exceeded 3.5 million units. It is estimated that by 2015, the number of elevators will reach 4.2 million units.
At present, although China has become the most important production base and consumer market for elevators in the world, there is still a big gap between the popularity of elevators in China and the level of developed countries in Europe and America. The data shows that at the end of 2011, the per capita possession of elevators in China was about 700 people/unit, which is close to the world average, but still far below the level of 100-200 people/set in developed countries. The saturation market of China's elevator market is about 7 million units. Compared with the domestic elevators of about 2.45 million units in 2012, China's elevator market will still have a growth space of about 4.5 million units.
Four factors drive the development of the industry
The first is the growth of commercial real estate. As China's urbanization process continues, cities need to build more office buildings and commercial business buildings to support the sustainable development of the local tertiary industry, while facilitating the daily life of urban residents. In addition, in order to display the image of the city, large-scale construction of super-high buildings (vertical heights exceeding or equal to 300 meters) is usually chosen everywhere. According to China Construction Science and Technology Network data, as of the end of May 2014, China has completed 25 super high-rise buildings, 11 more than the second-ranked US, and 78 super high-rise buildings under construction in China. The sum of the countries is only 47. It can be seen that the continuous improvement of the height of China's buildings is bound to drive a large number of elevators.
Second, the construction of urban infrastructure has increased. The steady growth of the macro economy has promoted the continuous improvement of the urbanization rate in China. According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2012, China's urbanization rate was 52.57%. According to the overall goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way, China's urbanization rate will reach 60% by 2020. The urbanization rate has been continuously improved, which has led to an increase in the scale of construction of public infrastructure such as airports, railway stations, hospitals, and gymnasiums in China, and the purchase volume of elevators has increased.
Third, the renovation of old elevators and the renovation of old buildings have increased. In the field of old elevators, elevators are still operating illegally beyond the specified service life, which will bring significant safety hazards in elevator safety. According to the "Special Equipment Safety Supervision Regulations" promulgated by the State Council, "special equipment has serious accidents, no alteration, maintenance value, or the service life specified in the safety technical specifications. Units of special equipment shall be scrapped in time." In the field of renovation of old buildings, with the improvement of social and economic levels and the aging of the population, the need to install elevators in existing buildings has attracted the attention of government departments. The Ministry of Construction listed special items in the “Eleventh Five-Year” key scientific and technological support projects, and carried out research on the renovation of existing buildings. In particular, it set up special topics for how to renovate existing buildings in the country to carry out relevant policies, investment, technology and standards. Comprehensive research on transformation plans, needs, approval procedures, etc.
The fourth is the development of the export market. As domestic companies increase their research and development of high-end elevator products and breakthroughs in key technologies, the number of elevator imports has gradually decreased. At the same time, the technology and quality of domestic elevator products are gradually improved. With relatively low production costs, the competitiveness of China's elevators in the international market is gradually becoming more prominent. China's elevator brands are gradually recognized in overseas markets, and a large number of products are exported.
